So last year I posted a bit on the developments of a little game called the Marvel Universe MMO. That very same game has been rechristened as Marvel Heroes & there's quite a few more tidbits of info that's gradually getting released online.Just a quick lowdown-
*It's going to be an action-RPG style MMOG (Massively multiplayer online game), similar to the existing Marvel MMO Marvel Super Hero Squad Online.
*Currently still in development by Gazillion 's Secret Identity Studios.
*Comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man, New Avengers) is the lead writer penning the story for the game.
*You will be playing AS one of the Marvel heroes. :D
*Doctor Doom will be the main villain (surprise, surprise), with him having possession of the Cosmic Cube.
*You will be able to customize costumes & choose from an array of powers.
*The game is being powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 (UE3).
*Release date? TBA :(
Don't fret though, in the meantime y'all can check out the character images released for the game from the official Marvel Heroes Tumblr. I'm including the ones I've posted before for your convenience. Watch this space for more character images as & when they are released.
